'Your Questions' is a series of talks at St James where YOU get to choose what we look at. It is a chance for you to ask the questions that are important to you. It might be stuff about life, about the bible, about relationships, etc. etc.
We believe that God has something positive and life fulfilling to say in response to the questions we bring to him. We also believe that Christianity is not a religion of the dark ages, but a living faith that has answers to the difficult and challenging stuff we face today.

What is mission? Why do it? Who should do it? How should it be done?
Good questions, and not easy ones to answer.
So, over the autumn of 2021, we'll dig into the Bible, especially the bits with Jesus and the early church in it, to see what mission is all about, both then and now.
These services usually run for 60 mins, and include worship led by a worship band, a reading from the Bible, a talk, and time for prayer.
On the 3rd Sunday of the month we have a shorter service, with the focus centred on sharing communion and being in community together.
If you are watching live use the CHAT to say 'hi' and get involved in the service.
If you are watching later, you can skip the opening slides to get to the start of the service.
At the 11am live-streamed service on the third Sunday of each month we have share Holy Communion.
This service is shorter than our other 11am services, and the congregation in church sit in-the-round with the communion table in the centre.
For safeguarding/GDPR purposes, we use fewer camera angles and sometimes just an audio feed is relayed during the streaming of this service.
The words for songs will appear during the streaming.

Summer Sundays. 25 July - 5 Sept 2021
Summer Sundays is St James taking the opportunity to take life a little easier after a full-on 18 months. We are giving our tech team, and others, a bit of breathing space before we re-group in September 2021 to launch our new series. Therefore, we will only use one camera angle during this stream, and during the sharing of communion, a screen filter will be used.
The Gospel reading from the lectionary will be used as the text on which the talk will be rooted.
The service will look a bit more like our normal 9am traditional services, rather than our 11am contemporary services.
