Baptism

Baptism marks a persons next step on their journey of faith. We celebrate with them as they turn to God, responding to his love for them, and seeking to follow Jesus in their daily life. Baptism involves the expression of faith in Jesus Christ through the public declaration of promises. For children in Christian families, parents and Godparents speak on behalf of the child promising to demonstrate what faith means and to nurture and encourage the child in faith and in the development of a personal relationship with God. There is no fee for a Baptism |
Dedication

A Dedication (or Thanksgiving) service is a wonderful way of coming together as family and friends to celebrate the birth of a child.
It is no less of a special occasion than a baptism and does not require the declaration of faith by the parents. A dedication service allows a child to explore the Christian faith as they grow and, in time, choose to be baptised themselves. This service is particularly suited to families who are unsure about Christian faith but want to thank God for the gift of their child. Instead of Godparents, parents can select Sponsors who promise to nurture, and encourage the child throughout their lives. There is no fee for a Dedication |
