What is a Scratch Team?

Scratch Teams are a new way of getting things done at St James'.
Each team exists to answer one question or address one issue that will help us to transform lives through Jesus Christ.
Once the issue has been addressed the team is dissolved.
You get to join a team that is looking at an area of loving God, loving neighbour, going out and making disciples that you are interested in; where you can use your gifts, skills and experience.

How does a Scratch Team work?

A Scratch Team exists to answer one specific question or look at one specific area of our mission and ministry.
For example a team will be formed to look at:
'How to make an after school cafe for Devizes School kids happen?'
Each team will have a max of 6 people, one of whom will co-ordinate the team. They will have a deadline within which to address the issue.
How a team achieves their goal is left to its members; for example they may choose to meet regularly or communicate solely by email.

Current areas being addressed by Scratch Teams?
