Parentalk is time out for parents with children of any age to:
· encourage and support one another through sharing the highs and lows of Parenting experiences, whilst children are looked after · relax and enjoy refreshments We meet the first Thursday of every month, starting on the 5th October, from 10:00 to 11:30 at St James. Parents and children are together for the first half hour whilst refreshments are served and children settle to the toys. Parents then retire upstairs to continue sharing parenting experiences together in a relaxed environment. Our only rule is that what is shared together remains within the group. Feedback from parents indicates they really appreciate this opportunity to draw encouragement from one another in a relaxed and friendly environment. |

The CAP Money Course

The CAP Money Course is a revolutionary money management course that teaches people budgeting skills and a simple, cash-based system that really works.
This course will help anyone to get more in control of their finances, so they can save, give and prevent debt. The CAP Money Course is a course devised by the award winning debt counselling charity, Christians Against Poverty. St James' have 3 CAP Money Course advisers and have been running the course since 2015. The next has Course will be run in late 2018. The Tastelife (Eating Disorders) Course

The aim of the Tastelife course is to give you a toolkit of resources that you can use to start walking out of eating issues and back into enjoying life again, baby step by baby step. The tastelife course is not a cure or therapy, but it is a safe place where we can learn and grow together. Full recovery from eating disorders is possible! We have seen it and work with people who are either fully recovered or well on their way.
We believe in new beginnings and starting where you are. We know it isn’t all about food. There is a way out, and the tastelife course helps you to look forward to a time when eating, or not eating, is no longer holding you in its grip. The intention is that you can take hold of life in all its fulness, tasting food and enjoying it without fear, wherever you are and whoever you are with. |
